Operator and availability

Txtra is operated by Cameron Low in Ontario, Canada. The current typing game, optional cloud accounts and classrooms are free; no payments or subscriptions are accepted. Contact hello@cameronlow.com with questions.

Read the privacy and classroom data notice before enabling cloud sync or joining a classroom. Children need appropriate adult involvement, and school use requires the school’s own authorization and any required parental consent. A teacher acknowledgment alone does not establish all necessary permissions.

Accounts and classroom responsibilities

Use a username or display name you are entitled to use. Protect account passwords, teacher recovery keys and class codes. Keep a private copy of your recovery code: without it or a working session, recovery may not be possible. On shared devices, sign out and manage local profiles separately.

Teachers are responsible for appropriate assignments, student visibility settings and explaining the service to students and families. Do not place sensitive student information in class labels, display names, assignments or support messages. Before institutional use, contact Cameron if you need a contract or assurances beyond the current notices.

Content and acceptable use

You retain rights in text you supply. For hosted classroom assignments, you permit Cameron and the necessary infrastructure providers to store and display it to the intended classroom and to operate and secure the service. Use only material you have permission to use. Local Custom Copy and Freewrite text is not uploaded as classroom content or a cloud save.

Do not harass people, submit unlawful content, impersonate students or teachers, bypass access controls, access another class without permission, or disrupt the service. Report abuse or a security issue privately to Cameron, beginning with the affected route and a description rather than passwords, recovery codes or student records.

Software and third-party assets remain subject to their respective rights and licences. Using the hosted site does not transfer ownership of Txtra or grant a general right to redistribute its artwork or software.

Learning and service limits

Txtra provides practice and progress indicators, not accredited instruction, a diagnostic assessment or a guaranteed educational outcome. Scores depend on the exercise and device. Keep exported copies of progress you need, and do not use the service as your only required school record.

Features may change or become unavailable. Cameron may restrict activity for security, abuse or legal reasons, and may discontinue a development feature. You may stop using the service and use its deletion controls or request help. No uninterrupted-service or universal device-compatibility guarantee is made.

Your rights

Nothing here removes consumer, privacy or other rights that cannot lawfully be waived. Subject to those rights, Ontario and applicable Canadian law govern these terms. Contact Cameron first about a problem so it can be investigated. Material changes will be published with a new effective date.
